October 2016: Clarity Biosolutions secure freeze-drying contract

Lab 21, a Novacyt group company, has a growing portfolio of bacterial and viral diagnostic products and have contracted Clarity Biosolutions to provide the freeze drying manufacturing services for the production of their subsidiary Plasmatec’s Streptococcus Identification Kit.

The kit is used to carry out a Streptococcal latex agglutination test and is distributed worldwide for the rapid identification of six clinically significant groups of hemolytic Streptococci. The kit contains freeze-dried extraction enzyme and Clarity’s experience in the preparation of freeze-dried biological products made them the ideal choice as Plasmatec’s manufacturing partner for small to medium-scale production.

September 2015: Innovate UK Crop and Livestock Disease Competition

Clarity are pleased to announce that they have received further funding from Innovate UK to continue the development of the University of the West of England’s magnetometer technology. The project will build on previous work to bring farm-side testing and disease surveillance tools to the market.

September 2013: Consortium grant award

Clarity have been successful as part of a consortium bid for TSB funding from TSB’s “Nutrition for Life” competition, developing novel methods for detection of antibiotics in food.

July 2013: Further grant success

Clarity are pleased to announce further success in securing TSB grant support for a project in TSB’s recent “Rapid diagnostics for endemic animal diseases” competition, funding a further collaboration with the University of the West of England.

July 2011: Clarity awarded TSB grant

Clarity were awarded a TSB Grant for Research and Development following on from a successful TSB-funded Feasibility Study. The award will support the further development, in collaboration with the University of the West of England, of its magnetometer diagnostic platform for application in the detection of food pathogens.
