History

The company was formed by Dr David West in February 2007 as Drypharm Ltd., focusing on Pharmaceutical Process Development through Freeze-drying.  Drypharm has since successfully completed a number of Freeze-drying R&D contracts with various pharmaceutical companies.

Recently joined by Hugh Ballantine Dykes, the company has taken the new name of Clarity Biosolutions to reflect a new and wider scope for its core business, which now includes Microbiological Screening and Diagnostic Assay Reagents, as well as retaining the original focus on Pharmaceutical Process Development.

Clarity remains located on the Porton Down Science Park, site of the UK Ministry of Defence’s Biological and Chemical Research facility (Dstl), where the company maintains strong links with Dstl and other spin-out companies.
